The unique proportions of the lot presented both challenges and opportunities for this project.
Positioned on a sloping site, the form of the structure integrates a basement that cuts through the
terrain. The open basement and garage are situated at the rear of the property, alongside a specially
designed “nanny suite.” One of the client’s key requests was to create an extravagant family room
that flows into the dining and formal sitting areas. This was achieved by incorporating a double
height, open space that maximizes views through the inclusion of a full-height curtain wall. The
curtain wall not only serves as a striking architectural feature but also enhances the interior, fulfilling
the client’s vision. The exterior design is a bespoke, contemporary approach, featuring bold colors, angular recesses,
and a partially sloping roof. Our team expertly managed the project from design through permit
approval, also providing consultation for the interior design to ensure a seamless and cohesive result.
