Located in a busy street of Vancouver, Vonns is a perfect amalgamation of exterior blending into the
interior. Understanding the context sensitivity, our designers created a very permeable design where
the eatery is part of the streetscape. Blurring the boundaries between indoors and outdoors via
creating an entrance patio, the visitors can enjoy the view of the beach in front. Crude materials are
used that exude a raw, natural feel inside.
The challenges in this project were the obstacles within existing building conditions, permits from
the City of Vancouver and the owners wish list. Our team was on board for the project management
of this project and successfully delivered a creative design while tackling all the obstacles.
